We asked Limesharp, a leading Magento agency about their experience integrating the Harper plug-in for high-growth womenswear label, ME+EM.
How is the Harper option integrated?
Harper’s plugin can be installed via the standard Magento 2 install process and it conforms to the Adobe best practices. It works by adding an interface between the Magento system and Harper’s API.
The plugin comes with blocks and templates that can be added to the frontend to display the Harper postcode checker which allows the customers to check if they are within the serviceable area. Harper has pre-built templates for all the standard messaging within the storefront for easy implementation.
How long does it take to integrate?
The project took 6 weeks from scoping to launch with a development time of 4 days. The front-end work depends on how the brand wants to message the service but it took us 3 days to create an explainer page and add messaging to the product page. The brand was able to update the copy on the delivery options page, returns page and size guide themselves.
What was the most challenging aspect of the integration?
The most challenging part of the integration was speaking to the ERP as items need to be shipped without payment. Harper allocated a resource to support the integration which was helpful in quickly solving scenarios and making the integration seamless.
How was it working with Harper?
The Harper team were communicative and helpful throughout the process. Our client described the launch of the service “one of the smoothest integrations they’ve ever done” and have since given great feedback about the service itself. We’ve recommended it to a number of other clients and are in the process of implementing the service for another luxury brand.
