How Blubolt integrated Harper to help RIXO elevate their customer experience whilst increasing average transaction values
Emma Law
Head of Digital, Rixo
“The integration of the service was straightforward and required relatively little time from our agency.”
How is the Harper option integrated?
The Try Before You Buy button was added to the mini cart with signposting on the product details page with a “learn more” pop-up. The integration of HarperConcierge was fully custom using their javascript library. We had to integrate with both the cart page and our React mini cart, so the development was in both native Shopify Liquid code, as well as React JS.
How long did it take to integrate?
Design-wise, for both the pop-up and mini cart, it was about two hours in total, as we also mocked up the flows to ensure it felt balanced with all the other elements in the cart. On the development side, it took around two days to develop and test. The development time was split fairly evenly between the Liquid and React development.
What was the most challenging part of the integration?
Thankfully the integration with RIXO was quite straight forward. From a design perspective, the biggest challenge was ensuring we incorporated Harper’s functionality into the mini cart checkout banner without cluttering the design.
How was Harper to work with?
We received fantastic support from Harper, with the team always available to answer our questions and provide hands-on technical support. The whole process was smooth, from introductions and client meetings to designing, developing and going live. Harper has been a great partner to work with!
