How is the Harper option integrated?
Self-Portrait approached BAO to design, develop and migrate its e-commerce from the Magento platform to Shopify plus. A key component of this project was the implementation of the Harper Concierge service.
Harper provided integration documentation, a best practice guide for site messaging and a timeline that was easy for By Association Only (BAO) to follow. Self-Portrait, Harper and our team worked together to design the implementation on the website and agree on copy for across the site.
We optimised the implementation as part of the work – adding a button on the mini bag and shopping bag for example – resulting in an increase in customers selecting the option.
How long does it take to integrate?
The integration only took a matter of hours. Integrating to Shopify is simple enough without the need for support, but the Harper team made themselves available throughout the process and responded to queries quickly and efficiently – which we’re always grateful for at BAO!
What was the most challenging part of the integration?
Probably ensuring that any third-party systems that are also integrated with Shopify didn’t conflict with the service. Since Harper’s system utilises Shopify’s native API and webhook ecosystem, there was no impact on any other integration.
How was the service received?
Self-Portrait is delighted with both the smooth integration of Harper Concierge by By Association Only and the enhanced service provided to its customers by Harper directly; this key try-at-home functionality was paramount in ensuring Self-Portrait maintained the edge in market.
The brand has even asked us to integrate Harper Concierge onto the website of another leading London-based fashion brand that is about to re-launch. Watch this space!
